Depending on who you ask, Bethany and David met through mutual friends, over a video call, while Bethany was at a church conference, or on top of a mountain. Regardless of the specifics, it is clear that God brought them together. Bethany lived in Colorado. David lives in Northern Virginia. They had to overcome the challenges of getting to know one another from a distance. They first talked over video in June of 2024. They met in person the following October. They made the most of every holiday vacation to see each other. As they grew together, Bethany had the desire to move and God provided a job for Bethany in Northern Virginia.

On a snowy Easter weekend on a hike near the base of Pikes Peak, David asked for Bethany’s hand in marriage. It happened to be David’s birthday. Bethany was surprised. The happiness was mutual.

Both will be working as school teachers in Fairfax County, Virginia the coming year. They look forward to seeing God’s goodness in their lives as they seek to honor and serve the Lord together.
